Role Objective
To support and be part of the Coillte Energy Team, enabling the development of renewable energy and other potential business opportunities on the Coillte Estate. Key elements of the role include monitoring energy, telecoms and other Land Solutions development construction activity as it relates to the Coillte Estate to ensure compliance with regards to environmental, operational and estate integrity matters including compliance with relevant legal agreements. The role will also involve stakeholder management which includes liaising with Coillte Forest, renewable energy/telecoms/other developers during construction, renewable energy operational site management, internal legal team, etc. Assist the Coillte Energy Team in reviewing of legal maps/drawings, plans and specification.
Role Responsibilities
- Regularly monitor construction works undertaken by renewable energy, telecoms and other developers on Coillte property nationwide which included providing written reports to highlight required actions and ensure such actions are closed out in a timely manner.
- Act as a liaison between Coillte Forest and renewable energy/telecoms/other developers in co-ordinating works on shared operational sites.
- Provide mapping data and analysis on GIS to support the Team.
- Assist in reviewing plans and specifications associated with renewable energy/telecoms/other projects.
- Schedule and complete pre-construction meetings, compile snag lists and ensure all close out information is provided to Coillte as per legal agreements.
- Update project files.
- Manage requirements relating to existing leased renewable energy sites including liaising with site managers and Coillte Forest in relation to queries or issues.
- Support the preparation of legal agreements related to energy transactions including reviewing specifications, felling and operational matters prior to project construction and during project operational phase.
- Managing queries arising relating to historical energy transactions
- Processing excisions and mapping updates for all energy related transactions.
- Ground truthing and digitising cable information on the Coillte estate.
- Drone usage to monitor activity on sites, whilst ensure that drone usage is fully aligned to Coillte policies and procedures.

Desired Technical/Professional Competencies:
- Education & Qualifications: Relevant 3rd level degree
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years experience in a similar field
- AutoCAD experience
- ArcGIS/GIS experience
- Construction site experience
- Survey experience: drone survey experience would be advantageous but not essential.
