Role Objective
To support the implementation of the new Tactical Planning Process to provide high-quality tactical and operational planning through providing support to the Business Area Units (BAUs).
Responsibilities
Planning & Support
Ensure the verification of harvest blocks to agreed timeframes and standards.
Co-ordinate the completion of tasks required for the new tactical planning process including management of field visits and data capture, map generation and quality checking.
Support the BAU resource team with the allocation process including the tracking of HB/HU verification and collaborating with other processes e.g. ecology team, to ensure they are reviewing and entering their requirements.
Drive the provision of quality inputs to the new tactical planning process through for example collection of inventory updates.
Ensure Felling Licence conditions are reflected in operational plans:
For environmental conditions and if required organise site assessments (blue/red sites) and reports e.g. EO Reports, Archaeology, Bioclass etc. o For timing conditions and upload & update LRM with these conditions.
For any unusual conditions or non-standard conditions and flag to relevant process.
Operations
Support the BAU Resource team with site pack creation to comply with Forest Certification Standards, Corporate Governance, Standard Operating Procedures, Codes of Practice and Forest Service Guidelines.
Support the development and full utilisation of new and existing technologies and new business processes.

Develop strong collaboration with the forest planning teams and BAU Resource managers to support tactical planning.
Promote an attitude of simplification to reduce complexity.
Actively promote and prioritise a safe working environment for our people, our contractors and customers in the forest estate.

Desired Technical/Professional Competencies
Education and Experience: Forestry or similar based equivalent degree or experience working in an operations or forestry role.
Technical Knowledge: Experience in use, or aptitude to learn, data management in LRM and field data capture applications. Ability to train others and share technical knowledge.
Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge and experience to promote a safe-working environment and ensure compliance with environmental, regulatory and silvicultural standards.
