Role Objective
Responsible for the continuous and consistent customer supply management and log delivery planning across the Business Area Unit. Compile, quantify and manage data from relevant sources to inform supply decisions that maximise revenue and contribute to Coillte strategic goals.
Responsibilities
Order Fulfilment, Supply Chain and Logistics
Mange the alignment of BAU production forecasting with Coillte sales plan to allocate and advertise log and other products
Review and monitor Coillte Forest Warehouse (RSS) levels, working with BAUs and colleagues to improve data quality and consistency
Use production forecasting, RSS and other relevant datasets to inform cutting strategies in BAU, inform customer leads of supply positions, ensuring millgate orders are maximised and to maximise the Final Removal Date (FRD) position of applicable sales lots
Work with 3PL firm to manage and report on haulier performance taking corrective action in consultation with haulage distribution and BAUs
Contribute and participate in Supply Chain Strategies
Customer Focus
Manage supply in line with Millgate requirements guidance and customer categorisation
Manage Biomass supply and complete relevant paperwork and auditing in collaboration with Biomass contractor
Keep BAU informed of general timber market trends and customer intake trends
Manage supply against customer commitments and lead monthly supply reviews reviewing Log supply performance by Coillte and Log Collection Performance by Customer.
Respond to Supply Chain related matters queried by the BAU and customers.
Timber Supply Planning and Sales Preparation
Incorporate relevant datasets to inform and contribute to, cutting instructions on HUs
Contribute to formulation of Coillte Log Sales Schedule and formulation and review of BAU Harvest Plans

Simplify business processes to reduce complexity to our customers and Coillte operational plans, processes and procedures
Actively promote and prioritise a safe working environment for our people, our contractors and customers in our forest estate

Develop strong collaboration with the Forest operations team ensuring clear, consistent and efficient dataflow that enhances the customer experience

Desired Technical/Professional Competencies
Education and Experience: Relevant qualification forestry, or a Forestry related discipline and two years’ demonstrable experience, particularly in operational processes.
Data Management and ICT: Knowledge, appreciation and understanding of the role data plays in managing supply chain and logistical processes. Ability to leverage functionality of computer based apps, particularly those in the MS Office suite of programmes. Successful persons should have the ability to effectively manage and use information to aid in their supply decisions and be able to contribute to data base and data management improvements.
Sales/Marketing: Knowledge and experience of working in a customer facing environment, particularly in B2B markets and with commodity products.
Commercial and Financial Acumen: Knowledge to manage top-line and bottom-line financials to maintain profitability and value.
Supply Chain/Logistics: Appreciation of the contribution high performing supply chain and logistics processes and procedures play in B2B markets and commodity products.
